We operate this shop as a UK individual business (sole trader). These terms apply to purchases from this Shopify store. The contract is with the seller identified above; Shopify supplies the store technology.
2. What we sell
We sell digital guides and workbooks for adults. A product page states the actual format, language, contents and price for that product. The Anti-Suicide Guide is an English-language PDF ebook with 149 PDF pages, including six printable crisis plans. No physical book, counselling, personal assessment, subscription or professional service is included in that purchase.
The collection contains general information and self-help reading. It is not medical treatment or individual psychological, legal or financial advice. Read Important information before purchasing.
3. Placing an order
Read the product description, check the format and price, and add the product to your cart. Review the order and correct any errors before submitting payment. Give an email address that you can access because the download link is sent there. Customer accounts are optional.
Orders are placed in English. Selecting the final payment button creates an obligation to pay the displayed total. We accept an order when we confirm acceptance by email. If we cannot supply a paid order, we will explain the problem and refund any amount we cannot fulfil. We may reject fraudulent or unlawful orders; this does not remove your consumer rights.
You can save or print these terms. Keep the order confirmation and the terms supplied with your order. The terms in force when your order is accepted apply to that purchase.
4. Prices and payment
The current price of The Anti-Suicide Guide is £6.99 GBP. Any other currency amount is the amount actually shown by Shopify for your selected market. Check the final currency, any applicable taxes and the total before paying. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own conversion or transaction fees.
Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. We do not ask for payment-card details by email or through a contact message. This is a one-off digital purchase with no recurring charge. No postal delivery fee applies to a download-only product. Tax treatment depends on the transaction and applicable rules; no statement in these terms promises that every international purchase is tax-free.
5. Digital delivery and technical requirements
After successful payment, Shopify Digital Products is configured to send a download link to the order email address. Access depends on successful order processing and delivery of that message. See Digital delivery and downloads for troubleshooting.
You need an internet connection, enough storage and software that can open PDF files. The current guide is approximately 1.9 MB. Printable crisis-plan pages can be printed and completed by hand; an interactive or fillable PDF is not promised. Check any accessibility requirements with us before buying. Keep a personal backup once downloaded.
6. Immediate supply and cancellation
Where a statutory cancellation period applies, you can cancel as described in our Refunds and cancellations policy. Before immediate digital supply begins during that period, we must obtain your express consent and your acknowledgement that your change-of-mind cancellation right will be lost once supply begins, where the law permits that result. We must also confirm that information in a form you can keep.
A statement in these terms alone is not treated as your express consent. If valid consent and acknowledgement have not been obtained, we do not rely on immediate supply to remove your cancellation rights. Your rights regarding faulty or misdescribed content remain.
7. Permission to use the files
Your purchase grants the personal-use permission explained in our Digital content licence. You may read on your own devices and print personal copies. You may share completed or blank crisis-plan pages with trusted people directly supporting you. You may not distribute the entire ebook, upload it publicly, resell it or use it as a commercial training resource without permission. Rights granted by law are not excluded.
8. Problems, complaints and refunds
Contact howtodealwithpain@gmail.com with your order number and a brief description of any problem. Do not include payment-card details, passwords or private medical histories. We will investigate access problems and claims that the product is faulty or not as described. Remedies and cancellation requests are handled under Refunds and cancellations and Complaints and customer support.
9. Responsibility and consumer rights
We are responsible for supplying the digital content as described and meeting our legal obligations. We do not promise a particular health, emotional, financial or relationship outcome. The stories and professional perspectives in The Anti-Suicide Guide are fictional composites; they are not a substitute for advice from your own qualified professional.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory rights relating to digital content. We do not exclude remedies for damage caused by faulty digital content where the law provides them.
10. Applicable law and changes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you habitually live. This choice does not take away protections or court rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including those of consumers in Scotland, Northern Ireland, the EU or the United States.
We may update terms for future purchases. Changes do not retrospectively remove rights attached to an accepted order. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue so far as the law allows.
