This policy applies to download-only guides and workbooks sold by Damian Stanica, trading as How to Deal with Pain. It does not impose a blanket “no refunds” rule.

1. Cancelling before digital supply
For UK consumers, the usual cancellation period for digital content not supplied on a tangible medium is 14 days after the day the contract is made, unless the right has been lawfully lost. EU consumers have corresponding withdrawal rights under applicable national law. Any longer period or additional mandatory right required by law still applies.
To cancel, email us or write to the address above with a clear statement that you wish to cancel, your name, order date and order number if available. You do not have to give a reason or use the model form below. Send the notice before the applicable deadline.
2. Immediate downloads
If you expressly request digital supply to begin during the cancellation period, expressly acknowledge the resulting loss of the change-of-mind cancellation right, and receive the required confirmation, that right can end when digital supply begins as permitted by law.
If we have not met those conditions, we will not treat a download alone as removing your cancellation rights. A pre-ticked box, a general statement in the terms, or consent to marketing is not a substitute for the required digital-supply consent. Losing a change-of-mind cancellation right never removes rights concerning faults or misdescription.
3. Faulty, missing or misdescribed files
If the file will not download or open, or differs materially from its description, contact us. We will first investigate and, where appropriate, repair access or provide a replacement file at no extra cost within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience.
If the legally required remedy is unavailable or does not resolve the problem, you may be entitled to a price reduction or refund, potentially up to the full price. Other rights, including rights relating to damage caused by faulty digital content, are preserved. Please describe technical symptoms rather than sending personal crisis-plan entries.
4. Refund processing
Where a cancellation refund is due, we will make it without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving your cancellation notice, unless a different mandatory rule applies. Other refunds will be made within the applicable legal time limit. Refunds normally go to the original payment method, without a refund-processing fee charged by us. Your payment provider controls when the amount appears in your account.
There is no physical item to post back. After a valid cancellation or full refund ending your licence, stop using and delete the refunded ebook and copies, except records that the law allows or requires you to retain. This does not restrict your legal remedies.
5. US and other international customers
Your statutory rights depend on the laws applicable to your purchase. We do not present the UK/EU cancellation period as a universal US legal entitlement. We will consider access failures, duplicate transactions, non-delivery and content-description issues fairly and apply any mandatory local rights. Contact us before making assumptions about eligibility.
6. Model cancellation notice
To: Damian Stanica, trading as How to Deal with Pain, Heath Grange, Houghton le Spring, Tyne and Wear, DH5 8BQ, United Kingdom, howtodealwithpain@gmail.com.
I give notice that I cancel my contract for the following digital content.

Signature (only if sent on paper):
If a standard cancellation form is required under applicable law, this information can be sent using that form or another clear statement.
Online cancellation and withdrawal requests
Request a cancellation or withdrawal. Sign in using the email address used for your order and the verification code sent to that email. Open the order and choose Cancel items for an unfulfilled item or Return items for a fulfilled item, then submit your request. Shopify sends an email confirming the request. You can also email howtodealwithpain@gmail.com with a clear cancellation statement.
Our online request settings allow cancellation requests until fulfillment and return requests for 14 days after delivery of the last item, extended where the deadline falls on a weekend or holiday. There is no restocking fee or physical item to post back for this PDF. This is a request facility: we review digital-supply consent, supply status and applicable rights before deciding the remedy. It does not create an unconditional change-of-mind refund after the statutory right has lawfully ended. Faulty or misdescribed content and any longer mandatory rights remain protected. Contact us even if the online request option is unavailable or its window has ended.
